Hello. My name is Cheryl Lohner and I am the owner and founder of Create a Buzz Marketing, LLC. After working for over 25 years for professional service businesses, independent professionals and service companies, I observed the constant struggle these businesses had with marketing. I watched them try one marketing idea after another occasionally finding success, but rarely attracting new clients on a consistent basis. I discovered few service professionals had a real understanding of how marketing worked and how to consistently attract new clients.
As a result, I was inspired to create a company dedicated to educating and assisting service professionals with marketing. I wanted to provide them with a foundation for their marketing which empowered them to make better marketing decisions and the ability to leverage their current marketing efforts. A step-by-step approach designed to take marketing in bite sized, manageable pieces.
I’ve always had a natural bent towards marketing, starting my college career in the area of commercial art – that was back in the day when we actually had to create our ads by hand, without the help of a computer! It paved the way for my future marketing career, which also led to working several years in the legal profession, with educational institutions and nearly a decade in the title insurance industry. It was during that time when I learned the critical role customer relations plays in the success of any business. I am now able to help others focus on the needs of their customers and create a customer focused environment.
The heart of my business is idea generation, problem solving and providing solutions. This is where I thrive! I love to dig in and brainstorm with my clients to create inventive, practical solutions to your marketing challenges and to help them see their business through the eyes of their clients and prospects.

In addition to my entrepreneurial endeavors with Create a Buzz Marketing, I am deeply dedicated to my family and local community. I am a member of the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce, serve on the Advisory Council for Leadership Grand Traverse and am a member of The National Association of Professional Women.
I recently completed three terms as President of the Board of Directors for Third Level Crisis Intervention Center in Traverse City, Michigan and serve on the Advisory Board for the Michigan Women's Marketplace, an initiative of The Center for Empowerment and Economic Development (CEED) located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
I have been honored to be a guest speaker for Northwestern Michigan College, Grand Valley State University, the Women’s Bar Association/Oakland Region of the WLAM - Women Lawyers Association of Michigan and Women Connecting Women, IAAP - International Association of Administrative Professionals. In addition, I am a proud contributor to www.ezinearticles.com and have received Expert Author status.
